A Founding Partner of the firm, Bill Maner serves as Edge Capital’s Chairman of the Board, Senior Investment Advisor, member of the firm’s Investment Management Team, and head of our Investment Banking Team. He considers the most important aspect of his job to be working with our team to provide exceptional client service and investment results.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Bill attended college in Virginia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. Bill worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for Arthur Andersen prior to earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration. For nearly a decade, Bill lived in New York working as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. He was also the CFO of EzGov, a venture-capital funded IT company.
Bill is proud of the company culture and the team that he has helped build at Edge. He believes that with every team member, the firm strengthens its position and ability to serve clients and meet their investment needs for current and future generations.
Bill is active on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Youth Project, an organization that works in under-served neighborhoods to build vibrant communities and promote positive youth leadership. In his free time, Bill enjoys golf and exercise, and he serves on the Northside Methodist Church Trustee Board where he and his family are members.
