As a Partner and member of Edge Capital’s Research Team, Whit Davis helps identify strategies that meet the specific needs of clients, and works with the team to implement those ideas in each investment portfolio. He especially enjoys the challenge of finding the right balance of investments for a variety of situations. Whit communicates Edge’s thinking on current and future economic trends with our clients, as well as the impact of those trends on their portfolios.
Whit enjoys meeting people and building long-term relationships. In addition to leading our Research Team, he has been instrumental in building efficient processes for our manager due diligence, and he works with our team to improve the investment experience for all our clients.
Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Whit earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of the South, where he was a member of the Sewanee Volunteer Fire Department. He also earned a Master in Business Administration from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University. He began his career as a financial advisor and sales associate with Morgan Stanley, and was also responsible for business development and client asset allocation strategies with Credit Suisse prior to joining Edge.
Whit loves any activity that takes him outdoors, from boating and golf to competitive sailing. His latest hobby is urban fishing in small lakes and ponds throughout the city of Atlanta. Whit and his wife have three children and are active in their community and volunteer at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta.
