In a June 29, 2020 letter to our valued clients, Edge Capital’s Managing Partner, Harry Jones, wrote the following:
Edge has a voice and we need to take action in today’s unprecedented times.
We will not be silent on the challenges we face as a community and as a country with the continued acts of violence and injustice towards people of color. We need to listen and learn. We are all worthy of kindness, fairness, and respect – just as we demand in our core values at Edge. As a firm, we can do more to embrace and build diversity.
At Edge, we strive to be good partners in the communities where we live and work. Our mission statement includes a focus on bettering our communities through active participation and charitable donations. In light of the unprecedented crisis we face with COVID and the recent protests, we feel there is more we can do to be a true partner to them. Accordingly, we made contributions to the following organizations and centers that support underserved youth in our communities:
- Urban League of Greater Atlanta
- YMCA of Greater Charlotte
- SKJAJA Fund
- Hunger Busters of Dallas
- Boys and Girls Clubs of the Permian Basin
- Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee
- Academy Prep Center of Tampa
In times of crisis, we can all find strength in providing support to others in need. We wish you and your loved ones a healthy and safe celebration of Independence Day.
