Peek Garlington is a Founding Partner and Senior Investment Advisor. Peek’s focus is on expanding Edge’s business relationships and creating effective, needs-based solutions for our clients. His ability to leverage our research efforts serves our clients well, and he applies his institutional investment management experience in unique ways to address the diverse needs of multi-generational families and successful entrepreneurs.
Peek earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Georgia State University, and he has earned designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM). Prior to co-founding Edge, Peek held executive positions with The Garlington Group, Lehman Brothers, and Credit Suisse.
A Georgia native, Peek is an avid outdoorsman. He has taken his love of fly-fishing to competitive levels by winning the 1997 Golden Fly Tarpon Tournament and as a team winner in the 2013 Jackson Hole One Fly Tournament. Peek is also an active water fowler, wing shooter, and bow hunter. He occasionally attempts to play the game of golf.
Peek is an honorary Trustee of the Turner Foundation and a past member of the Board of Trusts of The Sayre School in Lexington, Kentucky. Peek is a co-founder of FACT Relief Foundation which supports families battling a debilitating and/or terminal disease as well as other catastrophic life events that may impact the ability of the head of the household to provide for the family. Peek is currently serving as a Commissioner on the Paris Pike Corridor Commission in Fayette County, Kentucky.
He is actively involved in wildlife conservation efforts across the country. Peek and his wife Jennie have six children and live on their farm with horses, dogs, and a variety of other animals.
