Will Skeean is Chairman of the Board at Edge. His responsibilities include working with the team to develop the firm’s investment philosophy and outlook, identify attractive investment opportunities for clients, and allocate the resources of the firm to ensure our clients receive the highest level of service. He communicates our thinking on economic and investment matters in several local and national media outlets, including CNBC and the Wall Street Journal.
Will was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where his father built an engineering-focused technology company before moving it to Atlanta, where Will grew up. From a young age, Will was surrounded by entrepreneurs and worked with several of his parents’ businesses while growing up. He parlayed that work ethic into a solid academic career, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Upon graduation, he joined Goldman Sachs, where he led asset allocation and manager selection for a significant investment team while also earning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.
His career at Edge has enabled Will to do two of his favorite things – travel and meet people. He loves learning the stories of entrepreneurs like his father and how they came to be where they are. Will also has a passion for studying trends and predicting the effects of future events on global markets. He and our team visit the countries where we invest and strive to view their economic situations through the appropriate cultural lenses.
In addition to his travels on behalf of Edge and our clients, Will and his wife enjoy new cultural experiences and have visited many countries in Central, and South America, both Eastern and Western Europe, and Asia. He is an avid foodie and loves trying new restaurants and cooking at home on his Big Green Egg. Will is a member of the Investment Committee for the Atlanta History Center and supports many causes that are dear to his family and friends, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
In his downtime, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Corinne, son Clayton, and daughter Natalie.
