Bert opened the Dallas office with the team in 2010 to better serve our clients in the Southwest region.
As a Founding Partner, Senior Wealth Advisor, and member of the Investment Team for Edge Capital, Bert brings over 30 years of industry experience to our private and institutional clients. He takes great pride in learning the individual needs of our clients and has formed many enduring friendships in the process.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Bert had an early interest in financial markets, which led him to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Vermont and a Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. Before co-founding Edge, Bert spent 25 years with the Private Wealth Management division of Goldman Sachs, where he started in Dallas and was then Regional Manager of the Miami and Atlanta offices.
Bert is married to Betsy, and they have a daughter working in the financial industry in New York and a son and daughter-in-law working in Park City, Utah. Bert enjoys spearfishing in the Bahamas and spending time outdoors.
