Fixed Income Strategist and Portfolio Manager – Atlanta

Edge Capital Group, LLC is currently seeking a highly motivated individual with demonstrated experience in fixed income strategy/allocation, short-duration fixed income portfolio management, and fixed income manager due diligence. You will work with senior financial advisors and portfolio managers to implement short-term fixed income mandates for high net worth and institutional clients, including all aspects of trading, reporting, and reconciliation. In addition, you will lead all manager due diligence efforts on both public and private market funds in the fixed income universe. You will also contribute to the firm’s fixed income strategy and positioning through research insights and market commentary.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of separately managed, short-duration, investment-grade fixed income portfolios, for Edge’s high net worth and institutional clients
  • Monitor cash levels and maturities in portfolios for redeployment
  • Handle trade execution, allocation, and settlement of bond holdings
  • Prepare investment review materials for client meetings
  • Collaborate with Edge’s operation team on reporting to clients and accountants
  • Provide due diligence on the fixed income funds on Edge’s approved fund roster
  • Lead due diligence efforts on fixed income private market funds
  • Provide timely commentary and investible insights on fixed income markets to portfolio managers
  • Contribute to Edge’s quarterly Market Outlook
  • Respond to Senior Financial Advisors regarding specific client/prospect requests for fixed income analysis
  • Work independently and manage significant projects from start to finish

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University
  • Prior experience as a fixed income strategist
  • Prior experience as a fixed income portfolio manager (or equivalent role)
  • CFA strongly preferred
  • Desire to develop professionally through industry designations or other courses of study

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Comfort with the adoption and use of technology tools
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Morningstar, Factset
  • Comfort utilizing reporting systems, Black Diamond and ClearWater Analytics

Edge is looking for an experienced, dynamic, talented, and extremely motivated Client Service Professional to provide fundamental support in all phases of client engagement, client relationship building, operations, administration, and account maintenance. Understanding of investments and financial services is recommended, but clerical, organizational, communication and customer service skills are essential. Based in our Dallas office, this position is essential to our fast-paced growth and key to our client relationships.

The Client Specialist will work within a wealth advisory team of experienced professionals to play an integral role in delivering an exceptional financial planning and advisory services experience to each client. The Client Specialist will focus on client experience with specific attention in the areas of client onboarding, account transitions, relationship management, problem resolution, and process improvement. Successful Client Specialists are key contributors to a positive workplace environment and have a strong commitment to teamwork and shared success.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates, prepares, mails, and processes new client onboarding document packages.
  • Handles all necessary account maintenance such as wires, journals, check requests, transfers, ACH requests, new applications, changes of address, etc.
  • Processes any returned documents from clients including contracts & investment policy statements, applications, transfer paperwork, etc. according to established department procedures.
  • Inputs and maintains accurate client information in all appropriate databases and software applications.
  • Tracks outstanding client transfers and purchases/redemptions of alternative assets.
  • Effectively manages and prioritizes tasks stemming from CRM, phone calls from clients, emails, and additional request sources.
  • Verifies that all requests to custodians are received and handled to completion.
  • Scans and files any paperwork directly generated by personal daily activities and assists the team with scanning/filing when necessary.
  • Ensures that complete cost basis information for client accounts is updated and available with the appropriate custodian.
  • Actively participates and contributes to Client Services Team projects (internal and external).
  • Develops an understanding of the Firm’s value proposition, solutions, philosophy, programs, and features.
