Edge Capital Group is honored to be recognized in the Charlotte Business Journal’s Book of Lists which was published on May 10, 2024. Edge achieved a ranking of 30 for Charlotte’s Largest Wealth Management Firms and tied for a ranking of 31 for Financial Planning Firms.
In 2011, Kendrick Mattox, CFA, joined the Edge team as a Partner, Senior Wealth Advisor and opened the doors of our firm’s new Charlotte office to better serve our clients in the Charlotte area. The Charlotte Business Journal surveyed and ranked wealth management firms with data as of December 31, 2023. The surveys were sent via email to companies who opted-in to the Business Journal’s surveys and met eligibility requirements which included local assets under management, ownership structure, and locations within one of the following counties as defined by the Charlotte Business Journal defines the Charlotte area as local: Alexander, Anson, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly and Union in North Carolina, and Chester, Chesterfield, Lancaster and Yorkin South Carolina. Businesses based in the Charlotte area reported companywide assets managed. Information for local firms is self-reported or compiled from ADV forms. Firms based elsewhere provided numbers for Charlotte-area operations. Wells Fargo Advisors did not respond. Edge Capital Group did not pay a fee for obtaining or marketing the awards listed above. The Charlotte Business Journal did not receive compensation in exchange for placement on the ranking. The Charlotte-area’s largest financial planning firms were ranked by number of local Certified Financial Planners (CFPs).
