As a Managing Director and member of Edge Capital’s Strategy and Portfolio Management teams, Stephen Halkos oversees the analysis of our capital markets research and performs investment due diligence and portfolio management for our clients. He is particularly skilled at educating clients on potential investment opportunities and appreciates the challenge of staying ahead of the latest investment trends. He is also an expert at incorporating new technology into the investment process to improve the overall client experience and provide better transparency for investors.  More recently, Stephen was chosen to lead the asset allocation team, spearheading the development of a new risk management process designed to increase consistency and performance across the firm.

Stephen graduated cum laude from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  He studied corporate finance and security analysis at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.  Stephen is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a member of the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals.

Stephen is an accomplished musician. He performed on the television series Austin City Limits, as well as the San Jose Jazz Festival and the South by Southwest music conference.

Prior to joining the team at Edge, Stephen was the Director of Research for Glenmore Advisors. He also worked as a senior financial analyst for The Home Depot and held finance posts with UPS Capital and EchoStar Corporation.

Stephen is an accomplished, classically trained musician. He has appeared on the television series Austin City Limits and performed at both the San Jose Jazz Festival and the South by Southwest music conference.  He believes the discipline required to perform at that level helped shape his professional drive to succeed.
